nudes
my semester project….
it came sooner than i thought.
my proposal was to photograph the male body and rediscover what it means to be a man. sometimes i’m darker than i want to be. i mean its not a bad thing but when i think about it i don’t really like the male body. it’s a bit unsettling to me. i know it probably an epic fail moment but i feel as if i need to do this. i don’t really take into consideration what it means to be a man because i never grew up with any. so i guess by doing this i can really see the male body and maybe get comfortable with it? or not and totally put my focus back on women… to be an artist i believe you must see the beauty in everything. take every line every curve and see that its all a part of the bigger picture. i hope it goes well for that matter that i find subjects. wish me luck?
this was on our project on light
i had to do some stuff on photoshop and i have to admit it came out quite nice :D
of course this was taken at a time of day i really hate the middle of the day…. it so bleak and colorless so, like i said i photoshopped it and pulled up the saturation which presented a problem the window did this weird thing and shows the light in waves but it did pull out her reflection in the window and the best thing was she didn’t notice i took the picture.
lesson learned:
always shoot in RAW file.
photography: histograms
well my teacher today told us that in this class he wants us to control what goes into our work. which is reasonable but quite honestly i strongly disagree with him.
i mean art is no control its an explosion of feelings and photography is what we see a perspective of the artist given to the viewer. I’m kind of upset but in some sense he is right. You cant have too much dark or light…. it does take away from the picture. is the value of a photo in the balance of a histogram? in your ability to tell if a picture has complete black in some places?
im so confused but i’ll take it as i move along in his class. i have since the first day actually. i check out my histogram just to make sure now… its becoming a habit… :D
pinhole cameras
my first assignment!
i was kind of mad because you can see the dust on my sensor (a problem i still haven’t fixed) but the pictures came out decent for my first time don’t you think?
